I have been a creative person as long as I can remember, dabbling in drawing, fine art, jewelry - you name it, I probably tried it. Sewing, however, just seemed to become my niche and I have been sewing since I was about 7 years old. Both of my grandmothers were incredibly talented seamstress each in their own rite, so it was no surprise to my family, I inherited that talent. I love everything about sewing, from coordinating the fabrics and sketching out the design to transforming that fabric into something fabulous to make someone feel wonderful.
I started my company, Correen's Creative Designs in 2002 as a way to supplement my dreary day job in Human Resources. In 2004, my husband and I decided building my business around our 3 sons was a better fit. In fact, it was a great fit, one that has allowed me to grow professionally and creatively and to honestly be able to say I absolutely love my job!
I am meticulous about the details, materials and workmanship that go into creating my pieces. I believe quality, durability and uniqueness are very important and I hope you find my work to be all the above.
I was absolutely ecstatic to be invited to design an costume for Tori Spelling's son to wear in the October 2011 Parenting Magzine: Early Years issue.
My son went on to rock the costume for our own photo shoot and the costume was featured in glo.msn magazine a few weeks later.

In October 2009, my Max costume inspired from the classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are was featured in Today's Parent Magazine in Canada.
We have also been featured in numerous blogs and other smaller publications in the last few years..
